Belgian cyclist Rob Goris of the Accent Jobs-Willems team passed away last night in a hotel in France.

The ex-icehockey player was visiting the Tour de France and was a guest in the Belgian TV program “Vive le Vélo” the evening before his death. Rob Goris was only 30 years old and had a fatal heart attack in his sleep. He was with his girlfriend Katrien van Looy, (granddaughter of Rik van Looy). They both were a guest in the live TV progam “Vive le Vélo” yesterday evening.
Before Goris was a cyclist, he was the captain of the Belgian national Ice Hockey team. As a cyclist he won the 2010 Belgian Championships for Elite men without contract.
