The day of racing, the swansong for the Cheshire TLI team who have been organising races for 10 years, is being held on the sporting Worleston circuit near Nantwich. It is a course which always promotes aggressive racing being a circuit of two halves — one with two hills and the other flat and fast with a long fast finishing straight.

Organiser Mark Thompson, who will be defending his over 65’s title in the morning, will be using the nearby Reaseheath Agricultural College as an HQ where a buffet will be laid on with showers and plentiful parking facilities. The younger categories will race in the afternoon.

In line with the Cheshire TLI policy of riders helping out, local clubs with riders participating, providing marshalling. Organiser Mark Thompson said:’ We can still take some more entries for both races. Being our last event it is the aim of the organisers to provide some special racing with excellent facilities to make events as important as national championships a day to remember for everyone, not just the medallists.’
