Jack Sadler and Ryan Mullen who spend a lot of their time racing in Britain have been selected to ride for Ireland at the European Championships

Jack finished third last year in the Under 16 National BC rankings but has been overlooked twice for the GB Talent team as he didn’t ride the track. So, with his grandmother hailing from Cork in Ireland, Jack has full Irish nationality and will be proud to represent Ireland in the Euros next weekend. Jack won the only sprint stage in the recent International Junior tour of Ireland riding for the Mountivation Academy.

Junior Men
· Cormac Clarke – Jun RR
· Dylan Foley – Jun RR
· Jack Sadler – Jun RR
· Ryan Mullen – Jun TT and Jun RR
· Sean Hahessy – Jun RR
· Thomas Fallon – Jun RR

The junior male team is currently away on a racing and training trip in Europe to prepare for the Europeans and will have six riders in the Europeans road race including Cormac Clarke, who was third overall in the Junior Tour of Ireland earlier this month.

Ryan Mullen, who won stages in the Junior Tour and has been breaking TT records in Britain and Ireland this year, will ride the road race and the TT at the Euros and is perhaps Ireland’s best chance of a medal, with high hopes that he could make the podium in the TT.

The rest of the team is also comprised of riders who have emerged as very strong prospects in the last couple of seasons including Junior Tour stage winner Jack Sadler, Dylan Foley, Thomas Fallon and Sean Hahessy.
