Sunday 23rd September sees a new addition to the sportive calendar with an event in Cambridgeshire to raise funds for SSAFA Forces Help Charity. SSAFA (Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association) helps former and serving forces personnel and their families in times of need helping with a wide range of issues.

All proceeds from the sportive will go to the charity with the opportunity to raise additional sponsorship also available.

Based at the Marshalls site on the edge of the city of Cambridge, there will be three routes available; 100 miles, 100kms & 60kms, with each passing military bases on route. The sportive stays within the Cambridgeshire borders and proves that the county isn’t as flat as some may think with 10 recognised climbs on the long route and five on the medium and several on the mini ride.

There’s plenty of free car parking at the start/finish and the route will be fully signposted, timed, have several well stocked feed stops, mechanical back en route and a broom wagon should all else fail. All finishers will also receive a certificate and free after ride snack at the finish.

There will also be a Family Ride around the cycle routes of Cambridge which will also be fully signed with maps available for all routes.

Entries on the day will be available at £29.50, no surcharge, and all proceeds go to the charity.
