With the indoor track season upon us, an introduction to V-Sprint that was set up over two years ago by speedway and track racer, Jim Varnish
![]() |
The key area of focus of V-Sprint back at the start was supplying track equipment to encourage riders to compete on the track across the various leagues and events. They soon became well known for offering a great service package primarily around bespoke wheels where riders had a specific requirement which they could fulfil.

For example, having one wheel in a pair with a brake surface is very common. The reason V-Sprint can be so flexible is down to their wheel builders and suppliers who have over 50 years experience and have been life-long friends of founder Jim Varnish having supported him though his own racing career.
As the V-Sprint brand has become better known, they have broadened their product portfolio to include high end “niche” track products and most recently a complete range of high quality carbon/alloy road and track wheelsets. Using handpicked components from Sapim, Miche and constructing each wheel by hand, these will be their flag ship products for 2012 and beyond.

These are 100% built in the UK high quality wheels that are something to be very proud of and will continue to be built in this way. V-Sprint hold spare parts to ensure ongoing maintenance can be performed. In addition, on some models, they offer true up and retention service if ever required with the first 12 months.
Over the past two years, they have gained some great exposure with their V-Sprint Pro track team which has Olympian Philip Hindes, David Daniel and Peter Mitchell. In addition to this we have a 40 strong domestic team which races nationally flying the black and white V-sprint colours.
