News: Wins in Britain & Belgium for Hargroves Cycles Team

Team News: Last weekend was another successful winning weekend for the Hargroves Cycles team with victories in Britain as well as Belgium.

Dan Tulett won the Under 14 East Flanders championship in Belgium, his first international win! While brother Ben Tulett not wanting to be out done, won the Under 12 race as well. Dan is on an unbelievable run this year that follows on from an incredible year last year.

Andy Hargroves took a very convincing win in the Wessex league – his first win of the season not coming at a better time! Harvey Lowe and Tamina Oliver also took wins in the Junior and womens category respectively to make it three wins for the Hargroves Cycles team on the one day in the Wessex League.

Last weekend also marked the first round of the Rapha Supercross series in Skipton. The series is a different take on cyclo cross in this country. It’s a team event with the first 3 of a 5 man team counting towards the overall series. Jody Crawforth finished 2nd in the race with Steve James 3rd and Matt Hargroves had a great ride to get 21st.

That put the Hargroves Cycles team in 2nd position overall – just 8 points behind Hope. Steve James was first under 23 home. The five man team was Jody Crawforth, Joe Kirkham, Stu Bowers, Steve James and Matt Hargroves.

Next week is the 2nd and 3rd and final round of the Rapha Supercross where the team will hope to overcome the advantage of Hope and take the title. Hargroves Cycles have a new bespoke website launching in the coming months so watch this space for more information and updates on the race team.
