In the novices race Hugo Howland-Smith rode away of the field to notch up his second win in as many weeks. Alfie Tummon was a safe second and leading girl Emily Cowell a solid third ahead of Jayjay Plowman in fourth spot. Harry Wilson edged out Max Messenger, Abigail Cowell and Bernat Munoz-Fite for fifth, with Lucy Cartwright heading James Corlett, Abigail Cullington and Bobby Kewley home for ninth. Newcomer Freya Ramsden did well to finish 17th on her debut.

Eddie Dillon maintained his unbeaten record in the born 2009 & later class, crossing the line well clear Cameron Hounsell, who got the better of Callum Christian and Joseph Barker in the sprint for second. Stanley Kinnish edged out Harrison Skillan, Jarno Davidson, Graihagh Morgan and Archie Mulholland in the dash for fifth, while Lewis Cannon beat Grace Wolstencroft and Zach Jones in the fight for the final place on the top ten leader board.

Oliver Cooper dropped breakaway partners Myles Le Geyt and Samuel Corkill on the last lap to record his maiden victory in the born 2008 event. Fearne Bregazzi ousted Summer Peters in the battle for fourth and Lennon Moore held off George Kinnish, Ryan Nelson and Ethan Skillicorn in the rush for sixth. Charlotte Geldart led Ella Darnill and Nicole Delooze in for tenth.

In the born 2007 race Cian Howard repelled a determined challenge from Orry Lund to bag maximum points for the third week running. Isaac Batty was a lonely third and Rio Kelly escaped from chasers Charlie Scarffe and Jordan Carter to secure fourth. The fast finishing Ben Davies was seventh ahead of pursuers Jemma Quayle, Ed Coole, Harry Deering, Olivia Quayle and Ellana Skillan, who rounded off the top twelve.

Cian Jackson continued his winning ways in the born 2006 category, attacking from the gun and powering away to another impressive solo victory. Owen Collins and Drystan Sewell gave chase, but in the end had to settle for second and third respectively. Conor Moughtin outgunned Jenson Artus and Samuel Devereau for fourth place, with top girl Rebecca Cooil pipping Nicola Quaye in the bunch gallop for seventh.

An early break gave Niall Colquitt the gap he needed to win the born 2005 age group. Harry Kneen kept Mairi Harrison at bay in the tussle for second and Chloe Dillon resisted a strong challenge from Harry Boyle to claim fourth. Luca Moretta snatched sixth in a close finish with Frank Kinnish and Callum Salisbury maintained eighth ahead of chasers Ryan Corrin, Thomas Bradley and Lewis Cooke.

Zac Walker forged ahead of breakaway partner Dillon Dowson on the last lap to pick up his third success in the born 2004 class. James Devereau pipped Nathan Slack for the final position on the podium and the impressive Megan Boardman came in on her own to take the girls’ award in fifth place.

Seven riders contested the finish of the born 2003 & earlier three lapper with Percy Hampton eventually getting the verdict ahead of Corrin Leeming, Juan Kneen, Emma Draper, Jonty Bregazzi, Matthew Cooil and Shellan Leeming. Eighth placed Tyler Hannay led the rest of a splintered field home.

Zac Walker produced the ride of the night in the under 10 racing bikes, riding clear of the field on the opening lap and time trialing to a convincing solo victory. Niall Colquitt took the bunch sprint for second, with Dillon Dowson grabbing third ahead of Nathan Slack, Cameron Dudley, Cian Jackson, James Devereau and Mairi Harrison. Drystan Sewell was a solitary ninth and Zachary Dowson spearheaded the second wave of riders in for tenth.

In the under 12 racing bikes Charlie Gibson was the strongest in an eight strong dash for the line. James Harrison was a close second followed by Aaron Lund, Percy Hampton, Will Corkill, Matthew Cooil, Matthew Black and Tommy Skillicorn. Tyler Hannay salvaged ninth, after losing contact with the leaders on the penultimate lap, and first girl Charlie Moss came through to snatch tenth from Jonty Bregazzi and Jack Christian.

The fast and furious pace of the under 16’s race split the field into three groups. At the finish Owen Dudley outsprinted Matthew Draper and Conor Davies for the honours, with Jimmy Bostock, Nathan Hinks, Will Draper and Dan Scarffe just behind in fourth to seventh places. Sophie Black outpaced Max Walker, Adam Scarffe, Tosh Teare, Tara Ferguson and Ben Christian in the chasing bunch sprint for eighth.
