The circuit’s short – just less than a kilometre – but demanding, with very tight turns at speed and an uphill finishing straight – on cobbles! Launched in 2012 the first two editions were dominated by local riders; Matt Cronshaw led from the start and hoovered up all the primes. lapping the field – all except Jack Pullar. Jack was runner up in 2013 too.

This year Lancaster Cycling Club has taken the event over from the City Council, doubled the prize list doubled the budget for promotion and is bringing food, music, stalls and, hopefully, an appreciative crowd into the heart of the town.

The prize fund stands at £2,200 and is growing daily as local traders contribute cash and vouchers for more primes.
