The German-Dutch duo made a well-deserved jump up the general classification during the third night. They replaced Paris-Roubaix winner Niki Terpstra and Yoeri Havik as leaders.
Lampater and Stöpler have 134 points and are one lap ahead of the competition. Jasper De Buyst and Pim Ligthart are second with a total of 180. Terpstra-Havik and Alex Rasmussen-Marc Hester follow with 142 and 132 points.
Lampater and Stöpler started the night in third place overall. The German-Dutch pair made a flying start to the evening with a victory in the one hundred lap opening Madision.
The second Madison resulted in another spectacular battle. The four leading teams fought for precious laps. Terpstra and Havik were able to hold off their competitors through much of the race, but eventually had to yield. De Buyst and Ligthart earned the race victory, while Lampater and Stöpler moved into the overall lead.
