Age ‘grouped’ racing, as regulated by TLI Cycling, allows events to consist of riders from all age categories who compete against others of a similar age. There are therefore always several ‘winners’ in a race, with prizes being awarded according to age category, rather than just to the first riders across the line.

TLI Cycling’s aim is to make event organisation simple and hassle-free. The organiser is the executive in charge of the race, and is solely responsible for the administration of the event. We do not appoint a ‘commissaire’ to oversee the running of the event, and providing all risk assessment and police instructions are followed then the TLI Cycling management committee do not get involved.

There are no event levies or registration fees, and membership costs only £10 (free for those aged under 18). Day membership for competitors is also available at a cost of £5 (again free for those aged under 18). Therefore whether you wish to use a cycle race as a way of making money for your club, organise a club event or championship (road race, time trial or cyclo cross), or just put something back into the sport, we would be pleased to hear from you.
