Race Route

2015 Alexandra Tour of the Reservoir – Stage 1
The race will utilise a 3km /1.88 mile circuit based on the private grounds of Derwent Reservoir. The race starts proper after Carrick’s Corner, heading into and through Edmundbyers (fast descent), left onto private road over reservoir dam wall and across the finish line which will indicate 10 laps to go. After the decent after the finish, continue straight on and across the bridge to head back up to the Reservoir entrance. There are 2 Technical Areas designated for assistance, one before the Dam wall and one at the finish line.

2015 Alexandra Tour of the Reservoir – Stage 2
The race starts proper after Carrick’s Corner, heading into and through Edmundbyers (fast descent), left onto private road over reservoir dam wall, Eddis Bridge, (Prime* at the top of Carterway Heads) along the A68, Barleyhill, along the north side of Derwent reservoir to Carrick Corner to complete a lap. Rider feed zone is situated at Barleyhilll before the descent back into Edmundbyers.

Rider feed zone is situated at Barleyhill before the descent back into Edmundbyers.

After 2 laps the route will head back towards Blanchland. The route then turns left at the T junction with Bale Hill, continuing along onto Meadows Edge to Turn left onto the B6278, direction Edmundbyers. On entry to Edmundbyers turn left onto Church lane and left again onto the B6306 direction Blanchland. Continue along the B6306 to turn left at Bank Top House to complete 1 lap. After 2.5 laps, head back through Edmundbyers and the Finish line to commence 2 full laps of the Reservoir course.

All stages will take place within a rolling road closure bubble implemented by Police motorcycles supported by National Escort Group GB (NEGGB).
