Scotland Cycling Team travel to Ireland ahead of AmberGreen Energy Tour of Ulster

Scottish Cycling development riders travel to Ireland this week ahead of one of Ireland’s longest running races, the AmberGreen Energy Tour of Ulster.

Competing for Scotland in the 4 day race that begins in Belfast are Phil Trodden, from Edinburgh; Pete Anderson, from Kincardineshire; Jack Barrett, from Kingussie, Invernessshire; Ryan Fenwick, from Kelso and Ruari Yeoman, from Lanarkshire.

The Tour of Ulster has been in existence since 1957 and attracts riders from Belgium, Portugal, Italy, Holland, Great Britain as well as Ireland. Over the four stages of racing riders will cover over 260 miles.

Gary Coltman, Scottish Cycling’s head of performance said: “The event forms an important part of the rider’s long term development as well as being central to their preparation for goals later in the season. On behalf of everyone at Scottish Cycling, good luck to all the riders in Ireland.”
