News – House to Leave JLT Condor

Team Press Release

House has been a permanent fixture of John Herety’s team since 2008. The 35-year-old joined the team following a spell on the Great Britain track team and a season with the Pro-continental Navigators team, and under the management of John Herety, Kristian was guided to the 2009 National Road Race Championship.

The team’s mixed international and domestic programme enabled the rider to display his talents in a variety of races. House’s tenacious riding style has brought him wins in the overall classification of Tour of South Africa 2011, the King of the Mountains in the 2012 Tour of Britain as well as stage wins in the 2010 Tour of Japan, 2010 Vuelta Leon, and a number of Tour Series and Premier Calendar victories.

The Tour of Britain (6th-13th September) will close out House’s career riding for the Men in Black and the team’s long-standing management and sponsors were keen to wish Kristian well in his future.

“Kristian in our opinion is one of the legends of the British cycling scene. He has been a foundation stone of The Men in Black and has been a good friend to JLT. As such we are saddened to see him move on, but in these exciting times for British cycling we wish him all best wishes for the future.” Charlie Pearch, Partner, Jardine Lloyd Thompson

“I will miss Kristian riding for Condor; he was a consummate professional and great ambassador. Everyone looks for new challenges to keep their drive and spark; I wish him all the best next season.” Grant Young, owner JLT Condor p/b Mavic
