This weekend saw the NEC Cycle Show and with it the ever growing NEC Cyclocross race where Ian Field of Hargroves Cycles-Ridley won the big race of the day

Team News – Hargroves Cycles RT

Last year Ian Field took a convincing win and he repeated this feat this year. Having got a good start and settled into a group Ian made his move in the final 2 laps and got a good gap that he held to the finish. Jody Crawforth took 3rd having crashed on the first lap. Nick Barnes finished in 7th to continue his good start to the season. Steve James was just behind in 12th.

Harry Yates rode earlier in the day and despite a crash on the first lap managed to work his way back up to the front and take the win. Harry also won the west midlands senior race on the Sunday to complete an impressive weekend!

Ruby Miller rode in the womens race earlier in the day and the newly crowned Elite women Welsh crit champ finished 2nd in her opening cyclocross race of the season. Next up for the team is the round 1 of the national trophy series in Southampton.
