News: Motorpoint Women’s team ready for Cheshire Classic

The Motorpoint Women’s cycling team will be going all out for victory at the Weaver Valley Cheshire Classic this Sunday in Northwich. Motorpoint’s newly formed women’s team, which includes local rider Hannah Walker, the British Women’s Madision champion, have enjoyed a strong start to the season.

The team have been training hard in readiness for the 80km Cheshire course, which takes competitors from the Weaverham High School up several climbs including the feared Acton Bridge Cliff. Riding for the team this weekend will be Hannah Barnes, Lucy Garner, Sarah King, Hannah Shenton and Hannah Walker. Says Hannah Walker: “I think we have a great chance in Cheshire. If we work together, get stuck in and be patient I think we could get some good results! Things are going well at the moment for the team. We’re all looking forward to it and can’t wait to get stuck in.”
