News: Motorpoint go into CiCLE classic in fine form

The Motorpoint Pro-Cycling Team will be looking to take their fine form from the Cinturon Tour in Majorca to the Tesco Rutland-Melton CiCLE Classic on Sunday.

A six-strong group of riders, consisting of Ian Bibby, Malcolm Elliott, Johnny McEvoy, Marcin Bialoblocki, Tobyn Horton and James Sampson, are heading to the East Midlands this weekend to do battle with teams from across Europe in the gruelling 105-mile race, which takes riders across country from Oakham to Melton Mowbray.

Says Chris Truett, Director Sportif of the Motorpoint Pro-Cycling Team: “The CiCLE Classic is a real full-on race and only the strongest and toughest riders are in with a chance of winning. Hopefully, given our performance out in Majorca last week, where we finished the second highest placed team overall, that will be one of us.”

Malcolm Elliott winning the 2007 edition of the race. He rides again, this year for Motorpoint Pro Cycling Team.
