Revamped Wilier/GoSelfDrive.com team returns for its fifth season on the cycling circuit

Following the 2010 season which saw the team finish third in the National Points Series rankings with the UK No 1 rider and 4 others in the top ten along with a massive total of 55 wins, the revamped Wilier/GoSelfDrive.com team returns for its fifth season on the circuit with a new colour scheme and a different co-sponsor in Frome based vehicle rental company GoSelfDrive.com.

The team are already racing hard to try and repeat the number of wins and podiums during this season and after recently gaining an invitation to the 2011 Tour Series this will understandably now become a major priority.

The team roster has been reduced from 10 riders to 8 for 2011 with four new recruits joining the team this year each bringing new and different talents to the squad.

Colin Parry had 3 Elite RR wins in 2010, Blake Pond is another very strong Elite all rounder plus two other young up and coming riders join the team in 21 year old Hugh Wilson and finally 23 year old Gary Chambers, both had a notable first year in Elite racing in 2010 and are hoping to continue this form in 2011.

Returning to the team are experienced all rounder’s Grant Bayton and Mark Perry, ex top pro and Olympian Ben Luckwell and team sprinter Ian Rees. The team recently met with sponsors and press at new backers Live2Ride in Frome, Somerset and then rode out on a small training ride to nearby Longleat House for a photo opportunity in front of the magnificent house. Longleat as ever was a perfect venue, with its stunning main drive to the house giving a truly amazing backdrop to the photos for this South West based team.

Once again the team are riding the top of the range 2011 Wilier Cento Uno equipped with Campagnolo Super Record kindly provided by ATB Sales, the bikes certainly stand out in the blue and green colour scheme with matching team kit designed by Andrew Crocker at Kalas Sportswear.
