Luke Rowe wins ZLM Tour (Nations Cup)

Welsh rider, Luke Rowe, has won for the second time, the Under 23 World Cup event, the ZLM Tour. At Dengie Marshes recently, Luke Rowe mentioned to VeloUK how he’d like to win one of the races they have on a busy set of Nation Cup events in April. After a top 10 in the first of those races (8th), Luke won the 183 kilometre ZLM race in a bunch kick ahead of Robin Steeniut of Belgium.

The early part of the race saw a break of three get away but they came back under the pressure of former winner Kamyshev. Then, in the last 10k, Indulis Bekmans (Latvia) tried a solo move but he faded and in the last kilometre, the peloton at full speed, swamped the Lativan rider and Luke Rowe went on to win his second ZLM event.
