Report: Chivenor Circuits

There was another round of the Chivenor Circuits on August 16 where the weather was not kind to the riders…

Despite a wet and windy evening in North Devon, there was still 40 riders turning out to race in the Chivenor Circuits races. In the Elite/1/2/3 race, the riders got to work quickly to warm up and the fast pace was taking its toll with a crash in the lined out group.

This which put paid to Rob Willcocks (Primal Europe) race. The lead group consisted of eight riders and it would be these eight that would decide the placings. As the finish drew ever closer, there were no shortage of attackers but nothing looked like it would stick even though it wasn’t through a lack of trying!

Everything that happened in the race seemed to play into the hands of the eventual winner and mini series winner Blake Pond (Wilier Go Self Drive). He just seemed to dictate the race through out and eventually nailed the sprint with ease. Also worth a mention is Youth A rider who made that lead group, Jake Read (Qoroz).

3. Adam Bright (Revo racing )

Mini Series Overall (3 rounds)

3. Pete Vincent (Mid Devon cc)

In the 4th cat race, with several riders only needing a point or two to move up to 3rd cat, the racing saw some good attacking racing with many attacks and counter attacks but it mainly stayed together and eventually ended in a bunch sprint which was won by Dave Rouse (North Devon Wheelers).
