Result: Morden CRC Older Man’s Memorial Road Race

Result from the 25th Morden C.R.C Older Man’s Memorial Road Race held today at Ellen’s Green, West Sussex/Surrey for 2/3/4 category riders over 35 years of age and all veterans

Andy Edwards, who confesses to being a terrible sprinter, won his first race of the year when he broke away on the last lap with Williams from Hillingdon CC and got to the finish line first.  Nick Abraham, who finished 3rd, was also off the front of the peloton which fought it out for 4th place.  “We only had about 10-15 seconds and there were attacks all race, so it was quite a tough, well fought race” said Edwards afterwards.

The original seven laps of Ellen’s Green circuit plus two of Walliswood circuit cancelled due to poor road surfaces.
