Report: Vanilla Salt Ayre League Finale

The Finale event which did not count to the League was run as a Regional C+ with upgraded riders and past winners in the field of 41 riders. It was a good hard attacking race with a large team from Herbalife and smaller teams from Activ Cycles, Teamwallis, Biketreks and Vanilla Bikes and lone riders from and Raleigh.

A break of nine just succeeded in staying away and Vanilla Jack Pullar outfoxed the large teams with his powerful sprint to take a fine win. After the race, the League presentation was made by Tracy of Vanilla, chief comm Tony Sweeney and League co-ordinator Nev Pearson where the large prize fund was distributed to the top 48 riders along with prizes for the top six overall, headed by Julian Pearson (Teamwallis CHH RT), and best placed lady, 3rd cat and under 18.

Special thanks were given to the organising team led by Kay Atkinson and to the chief comm, Tony Sweeney.
