Vanilla Bikes rider, Jack Pullar, is the latest to tell us about his winter training …
VeloUK: Have you started your winter training and if so, how long did you spend off the bike post season and how many hours a week would you spend now training?
Jack: Yes, I spent about 6 weeks with out properly training. Was nice to have that time to chill out and catch up on my social life! I am training currently abround 12-15 hours a week.
VeloUK: What is a typical weekday ride for you (how long and what intensity) and what sort of rides do you do on a weekend (how long and what intensity)?
Jack:Â My rides during the week and weeknd vary on when I have work. I try and fit as much as possible around work and the weather!
VeloUK: Do you ride Xmas day or New Years day?
Jack: I will normally have a festive ride on Christmas day.. Will see whos up for one this year!
VeloUK: Do you intend to go to a training camp abroad and if so, what would be a typical training camp there in terms of the time spent training and the type of training rides they would be?
Jack:Â I have just booked a camp with a few of my Vanilla Bikes team mates; Ben Greenwood, Alistair Rutherford and Dillon Byrne. We are heading off to Lanzarote on the 8th of Jan for a week! Another team mate Sam Jackson will already be out there too!
VeloUK: Finally, what will be your first races for 2012?
Jack: My first race will be the Clayton Velo Spring Classic up near Clitheroe followed the weekend after by Eddie Soens.
