Win for Collin Humphrey & John Tanner in the Sheffrec 2 Up 25 mile Time Trial on March 3
The annual running of the Sheffrec CC 2up 25 mile team time trial was dominated by teams from Sportscover Altura by placing first and second in windy conditions on the Hatfield Woodhouse course. Early rain cleared to leave dry roads but the wind made the pairings work very hard throughout the 25 miles. Second placed riders Ashley Brown and Adam Duggleby were reported to be up on John and Colin by 17 seconds after 15 miles but the experienced Tannner made up the time with team mate Humphrey and crossed the line winners by a slender 23 seconds. Third place went to the Langsett Cycles pairing of Richard Teare and Rob Townsend. On a tough day only nine teams made it under the magic hour barrier.
