From the gun, it was Team Hope Racings Dan Booth who took up the charge, opening a considerable lead on lap 1. The technical demands of the course made it tricky to keep the pace high and with Lee Westwood (Torq Performance), Giles Drake (Team Elite), John Whittington (CNP-Orbea) and Dave Collins (Team Hope Racing) all chasing hard, the gap was closed with Booth dropping off later that lap.
Westwood was keen to show his new sponsors what he can do, dropping the hammer on the penultimate lap with Giles Drake not far behind. As the finish approached, Westwood dug deep to hold off Drake to come home for the win. Drake rolled in for second with John Whittington third.
