A crash early on in the race in the finish straight by Todd Hotchkiss, Performance Bikes, caused the main race of the day to be stopped and then restarted on a shortened lap whilst the ambulance was at the scene.

The full circuit was brought back into use with 10km to go and despite the best efforts of CyclePremier’s Russell Falder and George Moore who both had digs off the front, it was a bunch gallop with Matt Gee, Metaltek taking the win from Richard Hepworth of CyclePremier.

Local boy turned Rapha Condor Sharp pro, Luke Grivell-Mellor, gave home crowd excitement with 6th.

In the Youth races, Joe Holt, Bynea CC won the Under 16s, with Shropshire lads Tomos Owens and Ewan Grivell-Mellor making it a home circuit 1-2 in the Under 14s.
