Report: Peterborough Grass Track League

Peterborough Grass Track League organised by the Fenland Clarion took place last Friday and although there was only a few riders it was a great night’s racing on beautiful summer evening.

York Cycle Works’ Martin Ruepp dominated the short distance racing for the Seniors/Juniors but had to give second best to Fenland Clarion’s Keith Bowes and junior rider Sam Widdess in the 1500 metre Block Handicap at the end of the night.

In the Go Ride Racing Kingscliffe Flyers’ Jerry Norman was in top form, while host club’s Luke Armstrong won the two handicap races. In the Team Sprint Spalding’s Harry Garfield combined with Norman to see off a strong challenge from Clarion to take the win in that event.
