Result: Welland Valley CC Club Championship – Round 1

The Welland Valley time trial season commenced on Sunday morning and the riders were greeted to the sight of snow after an overnight sprinkling.

The race went ahead after a route inspection, with the riders facing a nasty freezing headwind at the start, not helped by the sleet that was falling. Thirteen riders made it to the startline, shivering and ready to race, with Matt Plews the fastest recording a time of 26.10, ahead of Matt Crabtree in 2nd 28.08 and Adrian Killworth in 3rd, 29.12. Linda Hubbard was the fastest female rider with a time of 32.10.
