Rachel Murray, Karl Freeman & James Bailey winners at the Manchester Wheelers 130th Birthday Races at Tameside (Manchester)
![]() |
Thanks Ruth/Graham for the results
What a great day – scorching sunshine, close racing, silly events, hog roast and birthday cake. We couldn’t have asked for a better day to kick off the 130th celebrations and with help from many club members it was a real success.
Huge thank you to Champion Systems and Cycle Logic for providing us with great prizes and Base2Race Cycles for the loan of some bikes for our fun events – the “How fast are your legs?†race was a sight to behold – easiest gear + tiny bikes + very competitive cyclist = hilarious!
