A win and course record for Steve Kane in the Brighton Excelsior Cycling Club 25 mile Time Trial on Sunday 21 July (G25/93E)

For the second year in a row, a lovely calm summer morning, whilst the traffic lights were removed from the normal route on the previous day, it was decided to remain on the emergency circular course.

Victory in a close contest, and a new G25/93E course record, for the host club’s Steve Kane by just ten seconds from Chris McNamara, Pedal Heaven; 2012 victor Steve Dennis taking third this time. The women’s first prize went to Helen Bullimore, a minute ahead of Gina McGeever.

The Team Prize was again to the Wanderers. Zak Corum-Haines showed his great potential with a 1.01.43 at age 15.
