The last and toughest stage of the Tour of Jämtland is complete and despite a crash earlier in the race which took out two of the teams riders (Yanto Barker & Rob Partridge) , Team UK Youth held strong and won the race for its rider Jon Mould.

The stage between Trondheim and Ã…re was 214 km with 2000 meters of climbing and won by Linus Dahlberg. In third place was Jon Mould (Team UK Youth) and with the gap to the yellow jersey being just enough, he clinched the overall as well as the Under 23 classification.
“It was really fun. I did not think last Tuesday I was riding” said Jon “because I was a reserve. It was a fast stage all the way and in the last 8 km, I gave it absolutely everything and had to go with my teammates in the finish. I knew I needed six seconds to beat Jesper” Jon added.
The third and final stage of the Tour of Jämtland between Trondheim and Åre was really aggressive and fast. During the first 10 miles, everyone wanted to be in the break and attacks followed one after another. The average speed was around 43 km/h early so the team Motala CK with leader Jesper Dahlstrom had to fight really hard in the lead of the peloton to control the race.

In the end, Jon Mould got in a move which stayed clear to the end without the race leader in it and he crossed the line 16 seconds clear of his teammate Niklas Gustavsson who was one of the key riders to help the move succeed. Afterwards Niklas said “I was in some dark, dark places that last 6k today! GC win for Jon made it absolutely monumental!” Chris Opie came in 28 seconds after Mould after working to help him get the win as well in a great team effort while the race leader at the start of the stage was a further eight seconds back in a group led in by another UK Youth rider, Marcin Bialoblocki.
