The all new Vivelo EOS Aero is due for release very soon and to say this is eagerly awaited is something of an understatement. Vivelo have been working on the EOS for pretty much all of 2013 (and a few months before that) making tweaks and minor changes in order to perfect the ride characteristics of the frame.
The Vivelo EOS is now being tested by team members of Caja Rural-Seguros RGA, and the frame has already made it to the podium, thanks to sprinter Francesco Paco Lasca during the Vuelta a Burgos. Here’s what Francesco has to say about the Vivelo EOS “It has a good feeling. Stiff and light, fast in the sprint and good driveability downhill and into the curves. A really super machine.â€
There will be a good opportunity to see more of the Vivelo EOS, as some of the riders from Caja Rural-Seguros RGA will be riding putting the bike through its paces during the Vuelta a España starting next weekend. Vivelo and Caja Rural enjoyed a great 2012 Vuelta, and this was topped with a stunning stage 15 victory for Antonio Piedra.
The Vivelo EOS Aero will be available as a frameset only, or as a complete custom bike build from Cycling Components. While full details have yet to be released, the frame will benefit from full internal cable routing, a rather distinctive Aero Profile and BB86 bottom bracket.
