Team IG-Sigma Sport announce Tour of Britain Squad

The Tour of Britain will celebrate its tenth anniversary this year and IG-Sigma Sport are delighted to once again be part of the biggest race in the UK.

Winner of the 2012 Yodel Sprints Jersey, Pete Williams (below – interview here) secures his place alongside Matt Cronshaw, Pete Hawkins, James Moss, Wouter Sybrandy and Ben Greenwood.

The team has a wealth of experience and the previous races in Sweden and Belgium will ensure that the squad is on top form come Sunday 15th September when the race starts in Peebles, Scotland.

Simon Howes and Daniel Lloyd will manage the team during the race. “It’s fantastic to see all the work the riders and staff have put in over the past month, we have made sure the riders arrive on the start line in the best condition, full of confidence and with high morale.”

“With the recent race program we have had and the fact we have a very experienced squad, there is no reason why we cant be aggressive, racing from the front and featuring in the days breaks. The team did so well last year and with the squad we have, there is no reason why 2013 can’t be bigger and better,” said Simon Howes.

The Tour of Britain team will be taking part in a Q & A hosted by Matt Barbet, TV Presenter and cycling fan at Sigma Sport on Thursday 5th September at 6.30pm.
