Ralph Denk, Team Manager Team NetApp – Endura: “The Tour of Britain is an important race for the team and this year, we participate for the third consecutive time. We proved that our riders always race ambitiously and actively in the UK, and we’ll also start at the Tour of Britain with this attitude.

We selected quite a strong squad leaving us with several options – for the stages and in the overall classification. It will be a fierce competition with some of the World’s best riders but we are motivated to fight for our chances.“

Cesare Benedetti (26, ITA), Blaz Jarc (25, SLO), Erick Rowsell (23, GBR) Andreas Schillinger (30, GER), Scott Thwaites (23, GBR), Alexander Wetterhall (27, SWE)

“Alex Wetterhall is our specialist for the Time Trial who also proved his skills on hillier classic-type races. We expect the combination of both to be decisive for the general classification. Cesare Benedetti is in good shape and he is motivated to follow-up on his two Top 5 results from the previous years. As Andreas Schillinger, also Cesare will be an active racer on the more demanding stages with their attacking and climbing skills.

The selection is completed with three of our strongest sprinters at this time of the season. With Scott Thwaites and Erick Rowsell we nominated two young British riders. Racing their home tour will add the extra kick in their sprints. Blaz Jarc proved his current outstanding shape by winning the Belgium Classic in Zottegem“, describes Ralph Denk the line-up for the Tour of Britain.
