Julian Pearson sees off the challenge of Rob Hayles at the Rollapaluza event at Preston Grasshoppers on Friday 18th

The Rollapaluza event at Preston Grasshoppers on Friday 18th, sponsored by Approved Inspectors, provided a fun evening of racing along with displays by Beacon Fell Bikes and OTE Nutrition and a guess appearance from Rob Hayles who was also signing copies of his new book.
The racing took the form of an all-comers leader board from which the fastest 16 went into a knockout competition. From a qualifying ride under 22 seconds, Julian Pearson was fastest in every round and a clear winner, taking the final from Martin Bretherton.
Rob Hayles stepped up to have a go and took on Julian Pearson only for Julian to post the fastest ride of the night at 21.27.
