With a new line up that has shocked many a fan to sit up and take notice, many of the riders in the NFTO Pro Cycling team are in Majorca now for a two week training camp. Winner of the Jock Wadley Classic at the start of the year, and one of a handful of the 2013 team to make the 2014 squad, Hugh Wilson explained that yesterday was their travel day from Gatwick to Palma.

First the indoor games …

Not everything went to plan for Hugh. “First thing that needed doing was checking out of the hotel and handing the room key cards back to reception. This obviously proved difficult for some of the boys (who will remain nameless) as I discovered just before going through airport security – four hotel key cards had been planted in the back pocket of my jeans! Let the games begin!”

A painless journey then began and upon arrival at their villa, it was time to unpack and settle in. After the riders had pretty much rearranged the whole apartment, they had a brief from Jon and Sean (Trainsharp coaches and DS) about the coming days which covered everything from people’s special dietary needs to where the Xbox was going to be positioned.”

“I think that everybody is now ready to crack on and knuckle down to some decent training and with any luck, in some good weather” says Hugh who admitted that Playstation and Xbox had been thrashed already. Perhaps a lap of the island with Sean (he’s done it before!) will see them with less energy the next evening LoL

Thanks to ‘Hughski’ for the update
