Marcin Bialoblocki leads new team -Â Velosure combine with Yellow Ltd and Giordana to sponsor a British cycling team for 2014
![]() |
The Velosure-Giordana team will compete in 90+ events during the 2014 season and title sponsor Velosure will be attending all the Tour Series events and many other sportifs during the year to meet and greet their customers.
Velosure reached agreement with former professional Phil Griffiths, head of Yellow Ltd, based on their excellent track record for supporting cycling over the years, the fantastic quality of their product, and because of their shared philosophy in quality of service and reliability.
The team says fans should look out for the bright new orange outfit who will be hard to miss on their brand new Campagnolo equipped Pinarello Dogmas. One of Britain’s legends in the sport, Malcolm Elliott who was on the podium in the Tour of Spain (Points jersey) and Amstel Gold Race to name but two events, will be managing the team along with former TI Raleigh pro, Bill Nickson.
The names of twelve riders have been released so far with Irish RAS winner Marcin Bialoblocki the expected team leader after a super year in UK Youth colours. Marcin has ridden in the fluro orange colours before and is backed up by another rider from UK Youth, Rob Partridge (former Endura Racing rider as well).
Several riders from the 2013 Sigma Sport team which stopped at the end of this season have been signed. They are Matt Cronshaw and James Moss. Up and coming road rider George Harper is named in the team as is Richard Hepworth who has ridden for Phil Griffiths before.
Pinarello Dogma 65 frames in team colours arrive in time for next season for the new team
Nathan Edmondson, brother of Sky pro Josh Edmondson, is in the team after a good year with the squad in 2013 as is Steve Lampier who was a high flyer for the team in the Tour of Britain and second in the Welsh Grand Prix Prem.
James Gullen comes to the team from Hope Factory which has stopped their road team and Tom Bustard who ride for the Herbalife team which we understand has stopped.
Long time riders in the colours of Phil Griffiths Lee Davis and Andy Magnier are named in the line-up whilst a new name, Bradley Morgan who rode for Bill Nickson Cycles, is also signed up to the riders in fluro orange colours.
