Steven Burke leads Andy Tennant, Owain Doull and Ed Clancy in the Team Pursuit at the World Cup recently.

The 25 year old Olympic champion and World record holder will join as the tenth squad rider, joining former Tour of Britain Sprints winner Pete Williams and strong as an ox James Sampson who will each share their experience with the teams three first year seniors; Jake Scott, Jake Womersley and James King.

Steven commented; “It is great to be joining a team with such enthusiasm and talent who have worked hard to create an environment that can develop some of the best young riders in the country. My role is to share my experience with the young lads in the team, but I am already motivated by the enthusiasm of my new team mates and the support from the back office staff will only help us all win races throughout the year.”

Burke will go straight into competition with the team’s track squad (HMT-Sportscover) in Round 3 of the Revolution Series at Manchester Velodrome under the management of former Olympian Mark Barry.
