Further Information

A veritable closed circuit extravaganza, the University Campus grounds will be closed and transformed into an exciting and unique circuit race for riders of all abilities.

Take in the glorious setting as riders race eyeballs-out for an hour on a circuit that loops right around the main University building, including a few speed bumps, twisting turns, and even a switchback!

Racing begins early at 8.30am for a series of Youth races showcasing the future stars of the Scottish race scene, closely followed by a beginner (4th category) race at 10.45am.

Due to the ever increasing popularity and demand for women’s racing in the UK, an exciting addition is the Women’s race that follows at midday, offering equal prize money to the Elite race that begins at 13.15. With over £1000 thus far in the prize fund (with it increasing all the time) the races promise to be fast and frantic with some of the best riders from the UK battling it out for the coveted Crit on the Campus trophies.

Unique to Crit on the Campus is the Bike Shop Race. Consisting of bike shops from around Scotland, each sending one of their workers to compete in a five lap race around the course, with the winner being crowned ‘fastest bike shop in Scotland’ but more importantly…bragging rights over the rest of the shops. With more bike shops joining the festivities all the time, the Bike Shop Race should be an exciting prospect.

Whether competing or soaking up the atmosphere, Crit on the Campus should be an enjoyable day out for all on Scotland’s most beautiful campus.

Entry opens 1st January for riders wishing to enter, with full details, including course maps and visitor details for spectators on our website.
