Executive search specialists Hunter Gibson LLP sponsor Cambridge University Cycling Club (CUCC) for the 2014 season: the year that the Tour de France comes to Cambridge and London.

Hunter Gibson LLP to Sponsor Cambridge University CC

Cambridge University Cycling Club will launch its own road cycling development team to give its most talented riders access to the hardest and most prestigious races in the UK calendar. They are also one of the first teams to be invited to take part in the Milk Race in Nottingham on 25th May.

The team will be captained and mentored by multiple British Universities Champion, Wojciech Szlachta and former professional, David McLean. The team is the brain child of GB’s Technical Director and former Jaguar F1 Team Principle, Tony Purnell and is managed by former CUCC rider and President, Mark Holt who said, “We are delighted to have partnered such great sponsors for the 2014 season; a lot of hard work has been put in by everyone involved in the project to make it a reality but now we are in a great position going into the 2014 season.”

The team will be launched officially on Friday, 14th March as part of the Cambridge Science Festival where Professor Purnell will be giving the lecture, ‘Can Science make a Cyclist go Faster?’
