Team News – WyndyMilla’s UK Racing Team
TEAM PRESS RELEASE
Masterminds in driving this project forward are Jamie Scott & Henry Furniss Director of WyndyMilla Ltd – both of whom have been instrumental in delivering both investment and development following on from their successful 2013 UK based Male and Female team. (formally MG Maxifuel).
The 2014 team’s sponsorship Portfolio is extensive, alongside both cycle Industry brands WyndyMilla and Reynolds are a number of ‘non-Cycling’ related businesses all of whom are investing in what is planned to be a growing and evolutionary project.
Henry Furniss “After being involved in top flight cycling sponsorship for the past two years we’re ecstatic to be in a position to become title sponsor for the first time in 2014. We’re proud to be one of the companies leading the charge in women’s & youth cycling.
For us this team creates the perfect arena to show what we can do with our Anglo-Italian handmade bikes, technical cycle kit & casual apparel, whilst supporting top UK & global talent, encouraging growth in our business & above all having fun!â€
The team will be supporting three tiers of the sport, with a seven Female rider line up, supported by six Males and newly introduced ‘Youth Development’ squad of three selected riders.
The team will be racing on hand made custom built WyndyMilla carbon framesets, utilising some of the best componentry in the market with Shimano 9000 11-Speed Group-Sets, complimenting the latest carbon clincher wheel technology from Reynolds.
Additional performance advantages are sought with, WyndyMilla aero race clothing, TEC Carbon finishing products, aero road helmets & glasses from Lazer, while all bikes will be equipped with Rotor Chain-Rings, with the all-important hand painted finish by Ooey Custom.
Focus will very much be on the Women’s Tour Series events, as well as National Series Road events. The smaller Male team will focus on a strong Nat-B race calendar, selected Nat A events & guest spots at the Tour Series. The Youth arm will be enjoying a full complement of UK racing across all disciplines of the sport.
Jamie Scott “Despite the growth and success we’ve enjoyed as a sport in this country over recent years, investment is still hard sought, however we’re exceptionally lucky that we have retained many sponsors with whom we have great relationships, they too are keen to develop this team and see great value in what we aspire to achieve. I speak for all when I say there’s a huge degree of excitement within the campâ€
