The Surrey League Bank Holiday 3-day organiser, Glyn Durrant, is providing goodwill support for the Condor Cycles London 3-day on the same dates of 3/4/5 May.

Already there is a full field and full list of reserves for the Surrey League event, so late enquiries are being referred to the novel event on the VeloPark, CycloPark and Hillingdon closed circuits where there are still vacancies as there is scope for a 100 field.

Perhaps 50 are anticipated at present rate of entries with the budgetted number already achieved. The prize list is over £1,100.

The ‘host’ organisers of the three days are the East London Velo, the SERR League and BC West Thames Promotions. Co-ordinator of the Condor Cycles 3-day, Stuart Benstead says:

“This is another example of how a consortium of clubs across the three Regions involved can work together with the managements of the three circuits on this experimental event which we feel sure will show that more and more riders can enjoy racing in safe conditions in interesting formats. This does not take away from the traditional full open road programme which can equally prosper, as shown by the demand for places in the Surrey League event.”
