News – Castle Combe Races Almost Full

Andy Cooke, organiser, says “it is a restriction imposed by BC South region NOT Chippenham Wheelers. They are currently standing at:

4th’s – 122 pre entered
3rd’s – 131 pre entered

The E/1/2 & separate women’s races are taking place at the same time and as such have a joint limit of 150 riders…. again a BC South decision NOT ours!

E/1/2 – 99 riders pre entered
Women – 50 pre entered

Youth Races have a limit of 75 riders imposed by BC South region
Cat A – 58 boys – 12 girls = 70 pre entered
Cat B – 27 boys – 6 girls = 33 pre entered
Cat C – 15 boys – 5 girls = 20 pre entered
Cat D – 12 boys – 1 girl = 13 pre entered
Cat E – 5 boys – 1 girl = 6 pre entered

Riders note – If you do chance turning up on the day and are unfortunate in not getting a ride please do bear in mind that ALL members of the club are giving up their time as volunteers to ensure the racing takes place and no abuse towards any club or BC official will be tolerated by frustrated riders.

You could always help with the many tasks such as judging, registration, youth gear checking etc. To ensure that we promote the events in accordance with the parameters imposed to meet the insurance requirements permits issued by the BC region, any abuse of the limits would render the insurance invalid.

Chippenham Wheelers will be paying out over £1,500 money in prizes tomorrow across all races.
