Birchover are providing accommodation for the Derby-based team of UK and international riders and support crew for much of the season. The team will be staying at a four bedroom property in one of The Birchover Residences, a collection of luxury private houses in Derby. This gives them a terrific opportunity to spend more time together as a team, with the freedom to use the Residence as team headquarters.

The hope is that the team will have a big advantage over their competitors because they will be fresher and more tactically-attuned than other teams, who typically will arrive separately on the days of races and who may not have spent the intervening days honing their race craft.

Carl Bridge, owner of Birchover Hotel Apartments, stated “I am a passionate cycling fan and the opportunity to work with such an iconic brand at this early development of their rebirth under Cherie is fantastic. We’re really excited about the prospect of playing a small part in helping the team to better prepare for their racing over the coming years and it demonstrates further our commitment to supporting local sport”.

Team Raleigh marked their move in celebratory style earlier this month as Yanto Barker won the Lincoln Grand Prix (Sunday 11th May), which features one of the toughest climbs on the UK race calendar.
