This year the Jersey Festival of Cycling and the Tour Ride are giving you a once in a lifetime opportunity, to ride the Pearl Izumi Tour Ride 100-kilometre or 50-kilometre routes with the professionals.
Britain’s top professional racers from The Pearl Izumi Tour Series will be on Jersey for the final round of the unique team based Series in Gorey, and a day later they’ll be enjoying the road of the whole island.
Riders from each of the nine full season team will join amateur cyclists on the 50 and 100-kilometre coastal sportive routes, taking in the highlights of Jersey and it’s beautiful, and peaceful, roads.
The Jersey Festival of Cycling is hosting a whole range of cycling based entertainment making it the ultimate weekend for any cycling enthusiast. Kicking off the festival proceedings on Friday 13 June, will be the Pearl Izumi Hill Climb, acting as the penultimate challenge for the top British domestic teams before they face the final round of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series that evening around Gorey.

RIDE WITH THE PROS
Come Saturday 14 June, amateur cyclists are given the chance to, not only ride in the wheels of the Pro’s, but ride alongside them, by signing up and taking part in the Pearl Izumi Jersey Tour Ride.
Riders of the sportive can ride one of two routes around the idyllic Island of Jersey. Starting and finishing in Gorey Harbour, each group of riders will be lead out and accompanied by one of the Pearl Izumi Tour Series teams giving participants a fantastic opportunity to pick the brains of a professional athlete.
Amongst the teams will be local Guernsey rider Tobyn Horton of Madison Genesis, winner of the 2013 Channel Island Sports Personality of the Year Award. Madison Genesis currently sit second in the overall team standings behind Rapha Condor JLT with the competition still wide open going into the final rounds of the 2014 series.
Riders will also enjoy neutral service from Shimano and fully stocked, free, feed stations on route around Jersey. If you want to be a part of the inaugural Jersey Festival of Cycling you can now sign up for the sportive here. Entry for all is £25 with each finisher receiving an official Tour Ride medal and a Pearl Izumi goody bag, stuffed with products from sponsors Madison.
The Tour Ride adds to Jersey’s Festival of Cycling along with other activities including:

Pearl Izumi Jersey International Road Race (Sunday AM)
