Result – LVRC MK Bowl Series Race 5
(thanks Chris)
Another fine night in Milton Keynes saw 60 riders sign on for a fast nights racing. Numbers are increasing in the older group and hoping we can get 20 plus by the end of the series.
The race was won in fine fashion by Dave Brown, who finished over half a lap up. Dave, who spends his winters living in Spain, has found some great form recently, and will be out to beat his total of 6 wins from last year.
In the C/D race, local legend Mark Booth was very aggressive and eventually formed a break of 5. Unfortunately his compatriots were all good sprinters and he ended up 5th. The race was won by Midlands visitor ex Pro Phil Wilkins with the other podium finishers John Lacey and Paul Caton of TMG Horizon.
Top Time Trialist Simon Cannings proved that he can also sprint by winning the A/B race,a very fast race thinned the field to a compact group with only a dozen going for the win.Local rider Paul Bird, managed in a photo finish to ease out James Stewart for runner up.
Please note there is no racing on Tuesdays until 1st July because of Concerts at the Bowl. Durther disruption could occur. Updates when available.
