The Elite race at Salt Ayre was interesting and unlike the normal format this week as whilst the usual early break went and looked destined to stay away, as it contained two Velosure Giordana (Matt Cronshaw & James Gullen), two Champion System (Dillon Byrne & Sam Jackson) and two Team Wallis (Henry Hunter & Jake Cowan), it was this time pulled back by a bunch who cooperated and worked together.

James Gullen resisted for a long time with a solo break but in the end it was a bunch sprint which Matt Cronshaw won from Dillon Byrne and with 2nd cat James Claydon (Bill Nickson) taking an excellent 3rd.

The earlier 3/4/W race also finished in a bunch sprint with Matt Hallam (unattached) getting the verdict over local youth sprinter Adam Hall (Salt Ayre Cog Set) and Eve Dixon (Team 22) displaying girlpower for 3rd
