The north Cornwall served up a spectacular evening of sunshine set off by a stunning sunset supported by some tremendous racing. Highlights of the evening included a great win in the E/1/2/3 by Mark Wiffen of Tavistock Wh holding off Sol Warwick of Falco racing. The Cat ¾ was dominated by a three man break of William Fotheringham (Halesowen), Henry Mathews PZ Wheelers and Lee Adams Tavistock Wh that went early and held of the pelaton. The sprint was won by Henry Mathews of PZ.. It was great to have an international flavour to the ¾ race. Harm Verhoeven from the Netherlands who came 6th.
The 4th cat race was won by a “first timer†totally new to racing Philip Bray of the Royal Navy & Royal Marines CA ,look out for him when he learns how to race!. Emily Atfield1st Chard wheelers repeated her previous success by winning the women’s race Although she had a fight on her hands from Sian Botteley Squadra Donne. The under 16 boys was a hotly fought race due to the arrival of three holiday makers! Cameron Botteley Bourne Wheelers came out on top. the rest of the of the youth events were all won by One and All academy riders with the exception of the under 8 boys which was won by Issac Fitzgerald-Patrick from PZ wheelers.
