Owen Dudley Wins RL360 Isle of Man’s Rider of the Month Award for June

Owen Dudley has been voted Team RL360’s Rider of the Month for June. The talented youngster receives the award for the impressive performances he produced during the month. At home, Owen excelled in two of the month’s road races, winning the B event in the Fred Kelly to claim the IOM juvenile championship and finishing a very good tenth overall and first juvenile in the Nick Corkill memorial road race.

He also finished second and first in the opening two rounds of the Bikestyle handicap series, while picking up his fourth win in the very competitive under 16 class in the RL360 Youth League at the NSC. Demonstrating his versatility, Owen won June’s Isle of Man regional heat of the GHS juvenile time trial championship to qualify for the national final in September.

Off Island, he was a fine seventh in the fourth round of national youth series in Milton Keynes and shortly after was a good 13th in the British Youth Championships in Essex, when sprinting for fourth place. His performance in Essex earned Owen a place on the North West Region’s team for the youth races in the Ride London Grand Prix where he finished a very good tenth and was thrilled to meet the great Marianne Vos.

In recognition of his achievements Owen receives a commemorative trophy and a £50 cash prize.
