The Southend Wheelers criteriums are to be held on Bank holiday 25th August at Hog Hill cycle circuit.

This event has been contested for over 40 years on various Essex circuits including the Basildon “Yardleys” circuit, Rayleigh town centre, and for many years at the old Eastway circuit. Up for grabs are the Southend criterium trophy for the first senior rider and the aspirants trophy for the first U/23 rider.

Follow in the footsteps of Alex Dowsett who has won both trophies in recent years, as well as many local Essex and London riders who have gone on to race in Europe and professionally.

Racing starts at 9am for the 4th cat only event followed at 10.15 for 3rd cats. The main event for E/1/2 is over 50 kms and starts at 11.40. Refreshments, changing and toilet facilities available from 8am. More race info here or enter online at www.rider.com or on the day at Hog Hill
