Press Release
For the 2014/2015 cyclocross season, Jeremy and Gabby have partnered with UK title sponsor Neon Velo, along with 13 additional corporate sponsors.
Neon Velo is an English, up and coming boutique cycling brand that has an existing U23 development team in the UK. The company first entered the cycling scene through custom tours and cycling trips for the corporate UK market.
With the expansion of Neon Velo into the US market, they will be focusing on developing their brand image and creating an even stronger brand around the world.
“Partnering with Neon Velo as our title sponsor is something I am really excited about. Being a British rider, it seems only natural to have the backing of a British company. We also love the idea of having representation in both the UK and US, as it means that both Jeremy and I can give maximum exposure to our sponsors. Having the development team already established in the UK enables us both to have support at the races in the UK and Europe.† – Gabby Durrin
As individuals, and now as a team, the Durrins have become one of the most talented cyclocross couples on the scene, having acquired many racing successes between them. Gabby is ranked top 15 in the world and has many impressive European results, many years of international experience and a unique flare that draws fans to races. Jeremy has been moving up the ranks over the last few seasons and is currently one of the top racers in North America. With an enthusiastic racing style and incredible drive to succeed, Jeremy will continue to climb the ranks this season.
“This new program is exciting. Having the backing of Neon Velo and the support of all of the other sponsors has shown Gabby and I that these people believe in us and think we can do great things for the sport. Running our own program is new for us, but we are confident and very enthusiastic about this challenge. We are very much looking forward to representing our sponsors this season, racing hard and standing on the podium! We are excited and very proud of what has come together.” — Jeremy Durrin
“Trek is very pleased to have Gabby Durrin and Jeremy Durrin racing on the new Trek Boone 9 Cyclocross Superbike. Trek is a like a family and we are happy to have two more awesome racers, but even better people on our bikes. Gabby and Jeremy both bring years of racing experience as well as refreshing enthusiasm to the front of the Elite races. We are looking forward to working closely with Gabby and Jeremy during the season and having them fly the Trek colors off the front!† – ~Matt Shriver – TREK Team Liaison.
“New England has always been a hot-bed for cyclocross in the USA. It is also one of the fastest growing regions in the country for Castelli Custom Clothing. Because of this it was important to align ourselves with two New England based cyclocross Pros in Gabby and Jeremy. Their presence in the community and on the circuit is valued, and we hope our relationship with them is the start of something big and prosperous for both entities.” Â –Kurt Begeman – New England Castelli Servizio Corse Rep.
“Giro is proud to partner with Gabby and Jeremy for the upcoming cyclocross season. We’re excited to be a part of their new program and look forward to showcasing some new cyclocross-focused product with these two dynamic racers.â€
~ Jim Heeney- Giro Sports Marketing Manager.
